Tata Client Merchandise Ltd on Friday mentioned it had ceased discussions with packaged water maker Bisleri Worldwide a couple of potential acquisition.
Bisleri chairman Ramesh Chauhan had determined to promote the corporate to Tata Client Merchandise for as much as 70 billion rupees ($848 million), the Financial Instances newspaper reported in November.
“The corporate has not entered into any definitive settlement or binding dedication on this matter,” Tata Client, which sells the favored Tata Salt and Himalayan-branded mineral water, mentioned in a inventory change submitting after market closed.
Bisleri didn’t instantly reply to a Reuters’ request for remark.
Tata Client’s shares closed 1.8% up on Friday.
