Eight persons are feared trapped beneath rubble after a four-storey residential constructing collapsed in Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow at present.
An earthquake had been reported throughout northern India earlier within the day, although officers are but to test if the tremors had weakened the previous constructing, sources mentioned.
Not less than 4 households are believed to be trapped beneath the particles of the collapsed constructing in Lucknow’s Hazratganj, officers on the website mentioned.
Three folks have been rescued.
Hazratganj is dotted with previous buildings. The one which collapsed at present was often known as Alaya Flats.
UP Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak is on the spot, overseeing search and rescue work involving groups of the state and nationwide catastrophe response power.
