Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday handed over a “chadar” to Minority Affairs Minister Smriti Irani and others, which might be supplied on the Urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti on the Ajmer Sharif Dargah.
The Urs commemorates the loss of life anniversary of Chishti, some of the notable Sufi saints, also referred to as Gharib Nawaz or “benefactor of the poor”, and attracts a big crowd.
Modi tweeted, “Handed over the Chadar which might be supplied on the Urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti on the Ajmer Sharif Dargah.”
