Republic Day 2023: Delhi Police Points Site visitors Advisory, Prohibits Flying of Drones, Different Aerial Platforms

The Delhi Police on Tuesday issued an advisory on site visitors preparations and restrictions put in place for the graceful conduct of Republic Day celebrations within the nationwide capital.

In response to the advisory, the Republic Day parade will begin at 10.30 am from Vijay Chowk and proceed in the direction of the Crimson Fort.

The parade will go via Kartavyapath, C-Hexagon, the Subash Chandra Bose roundabout, Tilak Marg and Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Netaji Subhash Marg, and Crimson Fort, it stated.

No site visitors motion might be allowed on Kartvyapath from Vijay Chowk to India Gate from 6 pm on Wednesday until the parade is over, the advisory stated.

No cross-traffic on Kartvyapath from 10 pm on Wednesday at Rafi Marg, Janpath, Man Singh Street until the parade is over, it added.

“C”-Hexagon-India Gate might be closed for site visitors from 9.15 am on Thursday until the parade crosses Tilak Marg. From 10.30 am on Thursday, site visitors on Tilak Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, and Subhash Marg won’t be allowed in each instructions, it stated.

Cross-traffic will solely be allowed relying on the motion of the parade, the advisory said.

The site visitors advisory steered different routes which motorists can comply with.

To go in the direction of Mandir Marg, commuters can take the route from Madarsa, Lodhi Street T-point by way of Aurobindo Marg, AIIMS Chowk, Ring Street-Dhaula Kaun Vande Matram Marg, Shankar Street, the advisory stated.

Flying of sub-conventional aerial platforms like para-gliders, para motors, dangle gliders, UAVs, UASs, microlight plane, remotely piloted plane, scorching air balloons, small size-powered plane, quadcopters or para leaping from plane are prohibited over the jurisdiction of Delhi until February 15, it stated.

Commuters going to New Delhi Railway station from south Delhi can undergo Dhaula Kuan, Vande Matram Marg, Panchkuian Street, Connaught Place outer circle, Chelmsford Street for Paharganj aspect or Minto Street and Bhavbhuti Marg for Ajmeri Gate aspect.

From east Delhi, they’ll take Boulevard Street by way of ISBT bridge, Rani Jhansi flyover, Jhandewalan roundabout, D B Gupta Street, Sheela Cinema Street, Paharganj Bridge, and attain New Delhi Railway Station, it stated.

To journey to Outdated Delhi Railway Station from south Delhi, folks can take Ring Street, Ashram Chowk, Sarai Kale Khan, Rajghat, Chowk Yamuna Bazar, SP Mukherjee Marg, Chhatta Rail, and Kauria Bridge, it stated.

Invitees and ticket holders are requested to make most use of metro providers to achieve Kartvyapath. Metro rail service shall stay out there for commuters in any respect metro stations through the Republic Day Parade on Thursday, it stated.

Nonetheless, boarding/de-boarding on the Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan metro stations will solely be permitted to invitees/ticket holders from 5 am to 2 pm, the advisory said.
