A 37-year-old net designer was arrested for allegedly stealing the cabin purse of a fellow passenger whereas deboarding a Mumbai-Delhi flight on the Indira Gandhi Worldwide airport in Delhi, police stated on Friday.
The accused has been recognized as Hari Garg, a resident of Jodhpur in Rajasthan, they stated.
He’s a graduate and has carried out an internet designing course in Jodhpur. He additionally runs a restaurant enterprise there, police stated.
The arrest was made based mostly on a criticism by a Dehradun-resident who lodged an e-FIR alleging that his bag went lacking from the Mumbai-Delhi flight.
He suspected {that a} passenger who was travelling from Mumbai to Jodhpur in a connecting flight through Delhi may need taken his hand baggage from the cabin.
Through the investigation, the suspicious individual was zeroed in as he was seen carrying the hand baggage within the CCTV footage.
