Chaibasa (Jharkhand):
A constructing used as a panchayat workplace was blown up by Maoists at a village in Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum district, a police officer stated on Friday.
Improvised explosive gadgets had been used for the blast, Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Shekhar advised PTI.
The constructing was blasted by CPI(Maoists) at Kadamdiha on the intervening evening of Thursday-Friday.
The anti-maoist operation launched since January 11 within the Kolhan space of the district following a tip-off concerning the presence of high Maoist leaders, together with Misir Besra who was carrying a bounty of Rupees one crore on his head, was persevering with, the SP stated.
