An FIR was registered towards Samajwadi Social gathering chief Swami Prasad Maurya on Tuesday over his controversial remarks on ‘Ramcharitmanas’, police stated.
“A case has been registered towards Swami Prasad Maurya on the Hazratganj police station for allegedly outraging non secular emotions together with his latest remarks on Ramcharitmanas,” a police officer stated.
The FIR was registered following a grievance by Shivendra Mishra, a resident of Aishbagh locality within the Bazar Khala space of Uttar Pradesh, he stated.
