IPL 2023: Guwahati to Host Two Rajasthan Royals Matches for First Ever Time

Guwahati will host its maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) matches in April with the BCCI allotting two Rajasthan Royals ’dwelling’ video games to the Northeastern metropolis on Friday.

Rajasthan Royals will play in opposition to Punjab Kings within the first match and tackle Delhi Capitals in the second, Assam Cricket Affiliation (ACA) CEO Pritam Mahanta mentioned.

”We’re glad to announce that ACA Stadium, Guwahati will host two matches of Tata IPL on April 5 and April 8, 2023,” he mentioned in an announcement.

”Guwahati would be the ’dwelling’ venue for Rajasthan Royals,” he added.

Rajasthan Royals will play the remaining of their dwelling video games in Jaipur.

Guwahati was allotted two Rajasthan Royals matches in April 2020, however they needed to be cancelled because of the outbreak of the pandemic and the following restrictions.

The Jaipur-based franchise earlier partnered with the ACA for a cricket academy, which is now practical on the ACA Stadium.

The BCCI on Friday introduced the schedule for the upcoming IPL. A complete of 70 league-stage matches can be performed throughout 12 venues over the course of 52 days, beginning March 31.
