US forces have captured three Islamic State group members throughout a helicopter and floor raid in jap Syria, the US navy’s Central Command (CENTCOM) stated Sunday.
CENTCOM described the militants as facilitators, a logistician, and an “affiliate” of the jihadist group and stated they have been captured a day earlier.
A civilian sustained “minor accidents” and was taken to a medical facility, CENTCOM stated in an announcement.

After the jihadists misplaced their final scraps of territory following a navy onslaught backed by the coalition in March 2019, IS remnants in Syria largely retreated into desert hideouts within the nation’s east.

On Friday, CENTCOM stated a drone assault hit a US-led coalition base in southern Syria, with a warfare monitor saying it was launched by Iran-backed teams.
